Awesomenauts Achievement Cartoon References
0 CommentsPosted by Innosin on August 6, 2012 under Cartoons, Video GamesSo today I picked up the quirky MOBA-platformer Awesomenauts from Steam. It's supposed to have an '80s Saturday Morning Cartoon vibe to it, but I guess I don't really get that feel from the game other than the inspirations for some of the character archetypes (space cowboy, sentient brain, giant robot, etc). The art and voices just don't match up with the cartoons I'm used to. However, the ach... read. -
Batman: the Gathering
0 CommentsPosted by Flea on December 8, 2011 under ComicsJust in case I wasn't clear before, I really like Batman. My internet went down recently so instead of doing homework I spent a good amount of my time making up this Batman cards using the Magic: the Gathering style. If you're not familiar with the game, some of these cards might go over your head since the goal was to implement Batman character's styles and traits into MtG rules and play styles. ... read. -
My Crazy Theory on Batman
0 CommentsPosted by Flea on November 25, 2011 under Comics, Featured, Video GamesSomething I've come to notice about works of fiction, especially those in the continuous-story medias (television and comic books), is the love of crafting theories about what is happening. It's not surprising; we want to make sense of what is revealed and reveal for ourselves what isn't. It comes from cognitive dissonance, where when something happens and you can't explain it, it hurts your brain... read. -
Top 10 Best Evil Bosses to Work For (and why it may be a bad idea)
0 CommentsPosted by Flea on October 8, 2011 under Cartoons, Comics, Featured, Lists, MoviesIn all walks of fiction, the hero usually travels alone, and at most has a small band of allies to follow along. Sometimes heroes band together and form teams, but rarely do they bulge beyond militia numbers. The villains, however, oh boy the villains. They are no strangers to having help. If the government wants to give out jobs, they need to release a few super criminals into the population. Ton... read. -

Jukebox Tales – “All I Wanna Do is Make Love to You” by Heart (1990)
0 CommentsPosted by Flea on July 14, 2011 under Music, ReviewsToday begins the first in a new series of music video reviews. The idea came from our own Innosin but I'll be handling at least the first in the category. The video comes to us from the band Heart and helps put visuals to the balls-out crazy song "All I Wanna Do is Make Love to You" (1990). Heart is a great band, and I love their songs "Crazy on You" and "Barracuda." However this one... this one i... -
Cosplay Thursday – Captain America
0 CommentsPosted by Innosin on July 14, 2011 under CosplayHere's one of the better Captain America costumes I've seen. While female characters can be hard for many to cosplay due to their insane hourglass figures, that's not to say guys have it easy either. My scrawny ass would make a terrible Cap, and I've seen some who fill his uniform a bit too much. This guy, however, has the manly jawline and burly-enough body to make it work, opted for the shin... read. -
Cartoons on DVD: C.O.P.S.
0 CommentsPosted by Innosin on July 12, 2011 under CartoonsC.O.P.S. is a cartoon I'd never heard about until a couple years ago. Maybe I watched it as a kid and totally forgot, but I'd hope I'd remember a show as cool as this. Featuring the often-bizarre character designs of Peter Chung (of Aeon Flux), C.O.P.S. is an animated series about a team of police officers, many of which have special equipment of some kind; Bowser has a robot dog named Blitz, "Bul... read.
