So today I picked up the quirky MOBA-platformer Awesomenauts from Steam. It's supposed to have an '80s Saturday Morning Cartoon vibe to it, but I guess I don't really get that feel from the game other than the inspirations for some of the character archetypes (space cowboy, sentient brain, giant robot, etc). The art and voices just don't match up with the cartoons I'm used to. However, the ach... more.

Today begins the first in a new series of music video reviews. The idea came from our own Innosin but I'll be handling at least the first in the category. Sports games have always been popular to some extent, although it seems the '90s were a better time for baseball games. It's likely because there was more variety, from the official MLB-licensed games to sneakier ones like Ken Griffey Jr.'s Winning Run, which I'll cover in a later article. This one focuses on World Series Baseball for the Sega Genesis, which was a pretty awesome game. I've found t... more.
  • Flashback – Floam

Back in the '90s, Nickelodeon and Mattel had a hit with their creation, Gak. Gak came in a "splat"-shaped container, was fun and slimy, and could even make fart sounds. What kid wouldn't love that shit?! Nickelodeon also made a substance called Floam; it was not fun. It was made of foam beads and gel and despair. Floam may not have been responsible for any known deaths, but it was responsible for ... more.
